This idea came up while brainstorming for something else. We couldn't find any love for it around the agency so we built it ourselves. Regan, a fellow strategist, and Jason, my developer roommate, and I joined forces to create the first ever Secret Santa program run through the twitter API. We had over 3000 users and over 1000 gifts delivered through the lifespan of the program. It was written up in multiple pubs and features on ABC news.
