Boots/Pants

Traditionally, pants are worn over the shaft of the boot unless you are an equestrian, a girl, or General Patton, but I feel like that might be changing. Why bother wearing boots if you can’t see them? Check these guys out below, from Zara’s Autumn 09/Winter 10 look book:

Arguably the pants are tucked in here because it’s a book and the point is to show what the boots look like, but all three of these guys are pretty stylish. And, I have been seeing scattered guys around the city with the tucked in pants. My jeans have been tucked into my boots since last fall, but I’ll admit it’s only because the boots are laced halfway up and sort of folded down (like the guy on the left above). It’s not a fashion thing, its functional: the slim jeans need to be tucked in to not look totally goofy.

So, could the tucked in pant ‘look’ be catching on? Maybe something to experiment with this fall.
